This explains what PayPerWatch, run by the PayPerWatch team, collects and why. We keep it to what the service needs to work.
What we collect
- Your wallet address. It identifies you. There are no names, emails or passwords.
- What you watch and pay for. Which videos, how many seconds, your signed payment receipts and your watch progress. This is how you're billed once per second, and how creators are paid.
- What you publish. Your videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions and prices.
- Technical data. Your IP address and browser details in our hosting provider's logs, used for security and to limit abuse.
Public by design
Deposits, payments to creators, withdrawals and video registrations are transactions on the Arc blockchain. Anyone can see them, and they can't be deleted.
Stored on your device
A sign-in cookie (ppw_session) and browser storage for your session key, your referral link and the videos you downloaded. You can clear them in your browser at any time.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data and there's no advertising tracking. We use service providers to run PayPerWatch: Vercel (hosting), MongoDB Atlas (database), Cloudflare R2 (video storage), and your wallet's own providers, such as WalletConnect. They process data only to provide their service.
Your choices
- Creators can delete their videos from the dashboard. This removes the files and listing from our servers. Records already on the blockchain stay there.
- To ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted from our servers, email ekumanzubechi97@gmail.com.
